Flexhal linked to an existing building
For Thijs Standbouw in Ter Aar, we realised a Flexhal that links seamlessly to their existing business premises. This Flexhal serves as extra storage space, an important expansion for the rapidly growing family business. Thanks to the smart integration with the existing building and the high insulation value of the sandwich panels, Thijs Standbouw can store their materials safely and efficiently.
Excellent insulation and fire safety
What truly distinguishes this Flexhal is the use of 100 mm thick sandwich panels. While 60 mm thick panels are often the standard, Thijs Standbouw chose this high-quality variant due to its unique insulation and fire safety properties. Specifications of the 100 mm panels:
- Fire resistance: EW30, EI30 – provides extra protection during a fire by limiting heat transfer.
- Rc-value: 4.5 m² K/W – a significantly higher insulation value than the standard 2.61 m² K/W of 60 mm panels.
Thanks to these improved properties, the hall is not only better insulated but also meets stricter fire safety standards. For Thijs Standbouw, where high-value materials are stored, this offers additional protection and security.
