Temporary drive-thru and storage space for non-temperature-sensitive products
For the Makro in Machelen (Belgium), a need arose for an additional loading location. The large site offered sufficient space to realize a practical and efficient solution: a temporary tent hall. This structure was set up as a drive-thru, where customers could load their purchases in dry conditions.
With a width of 15 meters, a length of 60 meters, and a side height of 4.5 meters, the hall is ideal for cars and vans to easily drive in and out. The sliding doors at the front and rear of the hall ensure a smooth flow, while the products inside remain dry and protected.
From temporary drive-thru to long-term storage
During the advisory process, it quickly became clear that a T2 non-insulated tent hall perfectly aligned with the needs of Makro Machelen. Since the stored products are not temperature-sensitive, insulation was not required.
Makro initially opted for a 6-month rental period. After this period, the tent hall proved so successful that a part of it was shortened to 40 meters and is now used as a storage tent for at least two years. Thanks to our flexible solutions, this adjustment was arranged in no time.
The satisfaction at Makro Machelen even led to a follow-up project: Makro Sint-Pieters-Leeuw also chose an identical tent hall with a minimum rental period of two years.

Why a temporary tent hall is the ideal solution for Makro
Makro Machelen required an efficient loading location where customers could collect their products in the dry. With a T2 non-insulated tent hall of 15 x 60 meters, we provided a fast, cost-effective solution.
The drive-thru is spacious enough for cars and vans and protects products against weather influences. Thanks to the flexible rental arrangement, Makro could initially use the hall temporarily and later adapt it for long-term storage. A smart and practical choice!
